We had approximately six weeks to come up with a story and document it through our photography. I had never tried photo-journalism and just the thought of having to approach people and ask to take their photograph and then asking them personal questions started this introvert shaking...but a challenge to step out of my comfort zone!
Right away I thought of my dog, Molly's, trainer. She's a third generation Richmond District resident and has been a dog trainer for many, many years...and Molly loves her, of course!
So, after four meetings through October, November & December and lots of time thinking, talking & photo-taking I had eight of my images used in a story that I called, "For the Love of Dog in the Richmond District." Oh, and these images will also be archived in the SF Public Library for use in research.
