Another Observation

Not sure if this is an observation about Bay Area weather, which can change in an instant...or artistic interpretation.  I'm thinking the latter.  Just thought it was interesting.

Interesting...

So I took two photos...one with my "Professional Camera," the other with my iPhone Camera.  What do you think?  I really like them both...for different reasons.  I'm sooo impressed with the iPhone Camera.  And so many fun apps to play with.  It's so easy to point, click, do some fun stuff to make the photo "POP" and viola, download to facebook to share with your friends.  So easy, peasy that I'm totally addicted to creating iPhone Fotos.

Yay! I'm a finalist!

Just got notification that my Yellow Gerber Daisy is a finalist at betterphoto.com for the February 2012 contest.  I've received numerous "Editor's Pick" from this site...but this is my first finalist.  From 11,000+ photos it's been reduced to 900+ finalist.  Now they will pick Grand Prize, 1st and 2nd Prize for the 10 catagories.

I also entered an iPhoto Foto (In Its Shadow) in a contest and should find out tomorrow how it did.  I know there were lots of entries...so...

Day Tripp'in

Took a drive up Hwy 1 this weekend and discovered a wonderful place called Fort Ross.  How did I not know about this place?  It's an old Russian fort established along the California coast.  There's only one original building...but all the buildings have been built as they originally looked.  Very well maintained and a wonderful place to visit.  Didn't arrived until mid-afternoon...but that was perfect for turning my camera on some very interesting finds....the light was just right.
